Consent check before authentication?

In the KLS study, the first item in the survey is a welcome text and video (see image below). It includes a consent check:

"Als je op "Volgende" klikt ga je akkoord met de uitleg en vind je het goed om aan het onderzoek deel te nemen en dat er gegevens over je welbevinden worden opgeslagen en doorgegeven aan je mentor en het leerlingbegeleidingsteam."

I'm wondering whether we should have this consent check before we do the authentication and grab the data from the vault to create a response in the limesurvey database.
