Complete designation groups with members' short id's still necessary?

Now that we pass on the participant's group-short-id and group-report-id to the LimeSurvey server as participant attribute, I'm wondering whether we can get rid of the full designation group with all it's members' short-ids. I think we originally had this because there was no way to identify a group in the final responses, but now that we pass on the group id's we can identify the groups from filtering on these id's.
